The production centre of the brewery concern Alken-Maes is located in Alken and specialises in particular in brewing the lagers "Maes" and "Cristal". The site possesses modern equipment to brew, ferment and store low-fermenting beers. The production site is furthermore equipped with a very modern bottling line for bottles and barrels. The brewery was expanded to become THE production site for lager within the brewery group.
